Manager, Quality Management Centre Operations

The Manager of Quality Management Centre Operations will plan and direct all aspects of the organization's Control Room and Controls Department.

Functions & Responsibilities
- Have overall accountability for the department to ensure that they achieve their strategic objectives in performance, technical quality, technological innovation, and team building
- Manage troubleshooting and ensure appropriate investigations and corrective actions are taken
- Monitor and improve the efficiency of QMC and Controls processes through observations and metrics as well as collecting and interpreting data gathered from field operations
- Manage equipment calibration and preventative maintenance processes
- Ensure all equipment meets Superheat FGH Quality Assurance program specifications
- Manage inspection, testing and calibration functions for new equipment
- Manage pretesting, troubleshooting, and repair processes for commissioned equipment
- Contribute to authoring operations policies and procedures, plus training programs designed to enable staff to comply. Monitor the compliance with these company procedures and policies, and direct the implementation of more efficient procedures to accomplish company goals
- Create a high performance environment through engaged employees and a focused approach to performance management
- Champion the transition of the organizations culture, mindset and approach into a highly client-service driven, competitive and profit-oriented technology organization
- Lead the development and execution of process re-engineering and project priorities, and oversee the ongoing development of guidelines, processes, standard operating procedures, methodologies, controls, and overall best practices to enhance core capabilities and to realize operational efficiencies
- Ensure that quality and safety standards and procedures are followed
- Create, edit and maintain necessary process documentation
- Maintain current knowledge of industry developments and best practices in Process Operations Management
- Perform management reviews, resource management, coaching and development of staff, and make recommendations on Human Resources activities such as salary increases, performance evaluations and corrective actions
- Analyze work force utilization, scheduling and facility layout to determine efficient utilization of staff and equipment
Qualifications & Desired Attributes
- 10+ years of proven senior Operations Management experience in process controls or assembly line operations
- Experience implementing and directing quality control and process management programs
- A highly motivated and results oriented self-starter with strong operations and people management skills and experience, who can work effectively as a team player
- Solid written and communication skills including the ability to interface interdepartmentally and participate in client meetings
- Ability to travel when required and work a shift schedule in a 24/7 operation

- Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and new process developments
- Education in Instrumentation, Control Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or Electromechanical Engineering Technology would be an asset
- Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Knowledge of SCADA software, MMI interfaces, networking and VPN servers
